Abstract:

in this research, it has been tried to collect many issues that S.T.P.C PROJECT was encountered with. Moreover, PROJECT risks for S.T.P.C are mentioned through Identified Issues in terms of different PHASES of the PROJECT life time. Based on risk management theories, explained in the literature section, risk assessment is applied for the identified risks. Then, Risks are categorized through risk category matrix by analyzing risk probability of occurrence and risk inlpact on PROJECT cost and time. On the following, some mitigation actions have been derived, in forms of recommendations, which are useful to cut down the probability and impacts of risks. There are some fields and areas in associated with the PROJECT which can be expanded for typical PROJECTs. They have been cited in conclusion section as main sources of PROJECT risks. Besides, for next researches, some critical areas are recommended to be followed through Future Research mplementation.Costs of the PROJECT due to delays on sub-PROJECTs in S.T.P.C, calculated by S.T.P.C accountant as a research in 2006, in comparison with estlnlated PROJECT costs, will show the importance of tools and techniques such as Risk Management through petrochemical PROJECTs which can be applied to manage PROJECT time and cost. Finally, a collection of experiential reconmlendations can be applied for petrochemical plants in Iran for the future.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to Rank the Leadership Roles at Different PHASES of Innovation Process in a New Product Development PROJECT. Reviewing the literature in the field and pointing out the differences between the front-end phase and the developing phase of the new product development process, the leader roles in the new product development process from different authors' points of view have been considered. And finally five roles had derived. In addition, among different models offered for the front-end phase and the new product development process phase, the Poskela Model (2009) and the Smith Model (2006) were chosen. The results derived from the questionnaire showed that the most important roles in the front-end phase are technical expert, planner, communicator, team builder and champion. In the development phase the most important roles are technical expert, planner, team builder, communicator and champion. Besides, the ranking of the different stages of the front-end phase in the new product development process derived from the research is: opportunity identification, idea generation, customer need assessment, business analysis, idea screening and selection, concept testing, technology verification, and concept development. Also the ranking of the different stages of the development phase in the new product development process derived from the research is: Development and design, production engineering, pilot testing, and full-scale manufacture.

Abstract:

BACKGROUND: Knowledge, attitude and practices of health professionals influence the health awareness of clients presenting to the centers for health and treatment. This PROJECT was designed and conducted to increase the knowledge and improve the attitudes and practices of health professionals at all levels of the health system, towards prevention and control, as well as diagnosis and treatment of non-communicable diseases, especially cardiovascular diseases.METHODS: The study consisted of three PHASES: situation analysis, intervention, and reevaluation. To perform situation analysis, we applied randomized cluster sampling and selected 2000 health workers from the target population. Identical methods were used in control and intervention communities. We designed a questionnaire and determined its reliability and validity.RESULTS: Essential training on risk factors, healthy nutrition, and ways of coping with stress and maintaining adequate physical activity were taught to the target groups via seminars integrated into the health professionals’ in-service continuing education program. The educational materials consisted of books and leaflets.CONCLUSION: Awareness, attitude and practices of health professionals affect the outcome of efforts towards prevention and control of non-communicable diseases and their risk factors both in the society, and in the health professionals’ community. Multiple educational interventions in this study can help to rein in non-communicable diseases.

Abstract:

A common mistake in the management of information technology PROJECTs is paying attention only to the technical issues and neglecting other areas of the PROJECT management. A critical area in information technology PROJECTs is the stakeholder management, which has been the focal point of many recent researches in the PROJECT management field. Thus, a decision support system (DSS) has been developed in this paper, consisting of a 10-stage operational process that leads to an executive plan for responding to the stakeholders’ expectations. The proposed DSS benefits from an optimization model that considers not only cost and time constraints, but also the possibility of partly fulfilling the stakeholders’ needs and expectations. The most important innovations in the development of this DSS are: considering the different PHASES of the PROJECT (planning, implementation and closing); and also, considering the personality types of contact persons in each stakeholder group. The proposed system has been implanted in a national IT PROJECT and the results have been presented in three categories, i.e. criteria and stakeholders, cost and time, and the results of the proposed model.

Abstract:

Objectives: The present study was carried out to investigate the relationship between different lunar PHASES and the occurrence of overdose attempted suicide. Method: The study was carried out for a period of three lunar years (Shaban 1416 to Shaban 1419) with patients admitted to the Intoxication Emergency Clinic at Imam Reza Hospital in Mashad. In this research,13422 cases of suicide attempts, which were recorded in the hospital files were studied. Admission dates which were originally recorded according to solar calendar, were later converted to lunar calender for the purpose of this study. Then, on the basis of lunar PHASES and the shape of the moon as observed from the earth, the days of lunar months were divided into four periods: the crescent-to-half moon period, the half moon-to-full moon period, the full moon to half-moon period, and the half moon-to-crescent period. The data collected for each period were analyzed through chi2. Findings: The result demonstrated that the highest numbers of overdose suicide attempts were made during the full moon period and the days around it. The frequency of attempts shows a significant difference in the above periods (P<0.05).

Abstract:

Skin injury caused by burns, surgery and other traumas may result in unpleasant psychological experiences and be reflected in behaviors. Extracellular matrix (ECM) is the largest component of natural skin which is gel-like and is produced by skin cells. ECM synthesis is a key factor for filling up skin wounds such as burns, leishmaniasis, chicken pox, acne, etc. ECM is composed of a variety of polysaccharides, water, and collagen proteins. Considering its weight, natural skin strength and its expandability are like steel, while it has high elasticity and compaction capacities. These characteristics are due to dual effects of main ECM molecules, which are secreted by fibroblasts and epidermal cells: 1) structural fiber proteins like: elastin, fibronectin and laminin which give strength and flexibility to ECM, and 2) proteoglycans such as dermatan sulfate and hyaluronic acid which are consisted of few glycosaminoglycan chains that branch out from a linear protein core. Proteoglycans are large and hydrated molecules which are resistant to external forces and protect underneath cells. In general, understanding the skin structure and wound healing PHASES can help us to design useful experiments and to conduct proper researches in this area.

Abstract:

Many organizations consider PROJECT management as an essential capability and attempt to achieve sustainable benefits through effective managenlent of PROJECTs. Leading companies are managing their PROJECTs more effectively to achieve competitive advantages and enhance their underlying profits. The purpose of this paper is to underline the need for Iranian organizations to adopt PROJECT management systems. This paper provides an interpretative investigation of the issues concerning implementation of PROJECT management for Iranian organizations. The study involves one of Iranian leading companies in Petro-chemichal industry. The results indicate that the organizational culture is resistant to change and there is no support of senior management for implenlentation of PROJECT management. Based on the analysis conducted. The impacts of organizational learning and training are not truly realized. Moreover, dissemination of knowledge and PROJECT histories among PROJECT teams is not appreciated, and the need for PROJECT management is not sincerely recognized. The other Iranian companies may find commonalities in problenls and issues raised and solutions proposed. This paper has a potential to put forward the practical solutions for Iranian PROJECT practitioners to critically reflect on their current attitudes and put the use of organizational PROJECT management into their practice.
